Its pink sandstone facade spans a length of 140 metres, the horizontal equivalent of the height of the Cathédrale de Strasbourg. Le château du Haut-Barr, nicknamed “L’Oeil de l’Alsace”, is located é à 5 minutes by car or 1 h 30 à on foot from the town centre. Built on three rocks, it stands 470 metres above sea level and occupies a strategic position between the Lorraine plateau and the Plaine d’Alsace.
